Bhavana Mody began practicing yoga as a way to re-connect with her Indian roots. She received her 200hr certification from Greenpath Yoga and has since studied, practiced & taught various styles/combinations. Bhavana completed her 800 hour Yoga Therapist certification with the Niroga Institute, where she learned to work with individuals/groups challenged with osteoporosis, cancer, heart problems, Parkinson’s, depression and other chronic conditions. Bhavana has been teaching for over 15 years, is a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT), and is currently working to bring more movement-based mindfulness programs into public schools. In addition to the yoga, Bhavana loves to share other aspects of her Indian culture, including folk dances such as garba, bhangra, and even Bollywood dance!
