RELAXATION & STRESS MANAGEMENT YOGA CLASS
First 3 Mondays each month 7:30pm-8:30pm Join Anna for a 60 minute restorative, Iyengar-inspired class combining slow flow Asana/poses with traditional Ujayi Pranayam/slow breathing technique. Asana/poses are held in longer duration, with the emphasis of movement as "quality over quantity". The purpose of this restorative yoga class is to engage the parasympathetic nervous system - rest, digest. So, come to class to unwind, re-focus, and rejuvenate!! DANCE CLASSES WITH SHELBY SNEAD
HIP-HOP: Bring more perspective, joy, and levity to your day in this all-levels class and leave feeling proud and fulfilled. Shelby's choreography emphasizes musicality, dynamics, textures, and charisma. An introduction of movement patterns/grooves follows accompanied by acknowledgement of style’s history w/in the African diaspora/culture. HEELS: We'll discuss & practice foundations of heels technique so members feel empowered to transition through movements with safety at the forefront. Followed by choreography that instills confidence, power, and knowledge of musicality - you're sure to have fun and leave feeling stronger than when you came in. Heels not required; if you do choose to wear heels, a stiletto heel w/strong ankle support works best. RHTHMIC CONTEMPORARY: Aiming to deepen dancers' relationship with themselves and their ability to listen to their own body, Shelby facilitates guided improvisation that encourages dancers to explore how their mind & body work in tandem when given prompts. Choreographic phrasing invites dancers to listen to music with patience, intention, and extend their fullest selves in the movement.
